WELCOME
The Randolph County Detention Center Procedure Manual has been developed to provide clear guidance and direction for the professional operation of the facility. This manual serves as a comprehensive resource for detention staff, outlining policies, standards, and procedures that ensure consistency, accountability, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
The purpose of this manual is to promote the safe, secure, and humane operation of the Randolph County Detention Center. It reflects our commitment to maintaining order, protecting the rights of individuals in custody, and upholding the highest standards of professional conduct. Staff members are expected to familiarize themselves with the contents of this manual and apply its principles in the performance of their duties.
The Sheriff and the Chief Jail Administrator recognize that the effective operation of the Randolph County Detention Center depends on teamwork, professionalism, and adherence to established procedures. This manual will be reviewed and updated as necessary to remain consistent with evolving laws, best practices, and the needs of our community.
By following the policies and procedures outlined herein, detention staff will contribute to a safe working environment, the proper care and custody of detainees, while mitigating financial liabilities to the tax payers of Randolph County. The most current and revised policies are posted online as amendments are adopted and approved!
RANDOLPH COUNTY DETENTION CENTER POLICY & PROCEDURE MANUAL
This policy is the property of the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office. It may be amended, revised, or rescinded at any time at the discretion of the Sheriff or his/her designee. This policy is subject to modification as necessary to remain compliant with applicable federal and state statutes, administrative regulations, and relevant case law. All members of the Randolph County Detention Center are responsible for reviewing and complying with the most current version of this policy.
