Section 16 - Personal Safety 

This section explains that detainees will encounter a variety of people while in custody and should notify staff immediately if they feel threatened, intimidated, assaulted, or unsafe. Staff will take appropriate steps to ensure protection, including allowing a detainee to remain secured in their cell until assistance arrives if needed.

Detainees are advised not to discuss their charges with others for their own safety. They should also inform staff if they currently have, or have had in the past, any enemies within the facility so that appropriate precautions can be taken.
