11.1 – Televisions
Televisions are provided in designated housing units (A Min, A Max, B Min, B Max, and Female Block).
TV hours are 8:00 A.M. to 10:00 P.M.
11.2 – Cleaning Requirement
All assigned detainees must complete daily cleaning duties before the TV is turned on.
If the housing area is not properly cleaned, TV privileges will be withheld.
11.3 – Channel Control & Use Rules
Correction Officers are authorized to change channels twice per day upon request.
No programming or code entry is allowed; only standard/basic channels may be used.
Only one detainee per housing unit may submit channel change requests via intercom.
Abuse of the intercom system will result in loss of TV privileges for 24 hours.
This channel request process is exempt from Section 2.13 of the handbook.
Volume adjustments are not permitted.
TV privileges may be revoked at any time by Administration for non-compliance.
11.4 – Damage to Equipment
Any detainee who damages a television will be subject to felony charges.
