Section 14 – Religious Services and Materials
This section outlines the detention center’s policy on religious rights and accommodations:
Non-discrimination: The facility does not discriminate based on religion and will attempt to accommodate legitimate religious requests made through administration.
Religious services: Detainees are permitted to practice their chosen religion. Clergy or religious leaders are allowed to visit on Sundays from 8:30 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.
Special visits: Clergy visits outside of normal Sunday hours may be arranged by appointment.
Religious materials: Detainees may obtain Bibles and other religious materials through approved religious sources upon request.
Possession of materials: Detainees may keep religious books or literature related to their beliefs, but they must comply with property limits outlined in Section 4.4 (no excessive accumulation in cells).
Content restriction: Religious materials that promote prejudice, racial tension, or hostility will not be allowed.
