25.1 – Exercise Opportunity
All detainees housed in the Randolph County Detention Facility shall be afforded the opportunity for physical exercise. Outdoor recreation shall be provided five (5) days per week, Monday through Friday, subject to weather conditions, staffing levels, and facility security requirements.
When available, outdoor exercise sessions shall be scheduled for approximately thirty (30) minutes per session. Participation in outdoor recreation is voluntary; detainees shall not be required to participate unless they choose to do so.
The daily exercise schedule shall be established by facility administration and may be modified, suspended, or adjusted at any time based on operational needs, safety, or security considerations.
25.2 – Rules of Conduct During Exercise
While participating in exercise activities in designated recreation areas, detainees are required to comply with all facility rules, directives, and staff instructions.
In addition:
Detainees shall not make physical contact with exterior perimeter fencing.
Detainees shall not stand, climb, or otherwise occupy areas marked or designated with yellow boundary paint.
Failure to comply with these rules may result in immediate removal from the recreation area. Repeated or serious violations may result in suspension of recreation privileges for up to seven (7) days per incident, in addition to any other disciplinary action deemed appropriate.
